Sunsets over Florida and Detroit- Florida Blog #4

While in Florida there was one particular night where i managed to catch a sunset from the hotel room and it looked like no sunset i had ever seen before. It was absolutely amazing!

We had to get a connecting flight from Florida to Detroit and then from Detroit to London Heathrow. On the way from Florida to Detroit there was an amazing sunset on the plane.

The sun was setting but it was on the other side of the plane which made me disappointed as i really wanted to see a sunset from a plane. However luck was on my side as when the plane turned we got to see the sunset and it was amazing!

Universal & Islands Of Adventure - Florida Blog #3

Universal was the first place we went to in Florida. I was so excited to go there and let me say that it is absolutely magical! First off we ventured up to Harry Potter World. When we got there everything was just like the films. The buildings looked the same and there were people dressed up as wizards. I tried ButterBeer and I got a wand. The only reason i got the wand was because I was chosen!

We spent more days in Universal than Islands Of Adventure as it was mostly big rides with long queues to get on. We ended up going on only a few rides.

There was one day at Universal where the thunder and lightning was really really bad and the rain was so bad that we had to stay undercover for about an hour as the thunder was so loud and the rain was so heavy.

There were streets like 'Hollywood' and 'New York'. I really loved these as the 'Hollywood' street had the stars on the floor which i took so many photos of! Also in Hollywood there were actors dressed up as famous people such as Lucy! and Marilyn Monroe. When meeting Lucy she was the nicest person ever. She took us into the Ben and Jerry's ice cream shop and chatted with us and took photos with us. She also signed my park pass - all in all it was amazing!

The main thing in New York was that everything had bright lights and it was how you would imagine the New York streets to be. Even the Starbucks sign had bright lights on it! The best thing about that street was the Blue's Brothers performance. They  arrived in the car and the live performances were absolutely amazing!

The productions we went to see were Men In Black, Alien Attack, Fear Factor Live, Shrek 4-D, Terminator 2: 3D and Animal Actors On Location. Going to see these shows were a nice change from queuing for attractions or the rides. We usually went to the shows when the weather was really hot.

Universal was the place that i wanted to go to the most and i really enjoyed it. Next time i think i will spend more time in Islands Of Adventure as it was the park we spent less time in.

SeaWorld - Florida Blog #2

SeaWorld was the park that i loved the most - for the simple fact being that i love sea animals. All together we spent five days in SeaWorld. I got the chance to see the dolphin and the whale shows. I also got the chance to see the turtles, the stingrays and the penguins. Also while i was there, i got the amazing chance to actually feed the dolphins.

One thing i remember was that when we went to see the penguins it was so cold as the conditions had to fit in with the penguins natural habitat. I feel the cold really easily and i hate being too cold so it was hard to adjust to the sudden drop of temperature as i was only in shorts and a tank-top as it was boiling outside! But it was all worth it as the penguins were the cutest things ever!

Unlike at most theme parks, i never went on the rides. I think this was because there was so much to see, that we never really got chance to go on them. However, i didn't mind as im not the type of person who loves going on the rides- i'd rather go and see the rest of the park first. We must have went and seen the dolphin shows at least three times.

Feeding the dolphins was amazing and a time which i will never forget. Being so close to my favorite animal and seeing what they were like made me realize that one day i want to go to America and work with dolphins- whether that be observing them or not- I want to do something that involves working with dolphins as they are amazing animals!

We also went to a dolphin nursery where there was a mother and five baby dolphins. This was where you could go and see them without set times and you could spend however long you wanted there. You could also ask questions about the dolphins and find out about them. I really enjoyed this as the dolphins were jumping and doing whatever they wanted, whenever.

One thing i wish that i could have done was swim with the dolphins but it was really expensive so when i go back i will definitely do that. However i loved going there and will most definitely go back.

Up In The Air - Florida Blog #1

hello,

*so i have recently came back from Florida and it has taken me FOREVER to think of how to write up these blogs, but i have finally  written them up and i will be blogging about the separate things that i did so that it isn't in one whole blog because that would be VERY VERY boring to read!*

as it was the second to last day we decided to go on a helicopter ride as this was my first time in Florida. when we booked it i was slightly scared and nervous because I'd never been in a helicopter before but when we started, it was amazing!

we had went over SeaWorld, Aquatica and Gator-Land. it was amazing to see Aquatica and SeaWorld! in SeaWorld, you could faintly see the dolphins and the whales from above before the shows.

you could also see the amount of houses that were there and most of them had swimming pools - which i was totally jealous of!

this was an amazing experience and I'm so glad it happened! these are just some of the pictures i took as the views were amazing!
